The 2026 Advocis Banff School Scholarship

The Advocis Banff School is proud to offer an annual scholarship to support deserving advisors new to the industry (with less than 5 years of experience) and attending the Advocis Banff School for the first time. This scholarship covers the registration cost and provides accommodation at the Banff Centre, the venue for our conference. We sincerely thank Greatway Financial for sponsoring the scholarship this year!

Application Deadline: June 1, 2026

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have less than 5 years of experience in the financial services industry

  • Be attending the Banff School for the first time.

  • Be a member in good standing of Advocis.

  • Hold an insurance license and possess a recognized financial planning designation (or be registered and in the process of completing one, e.g., PFA, CFP, CLU, CHS, etc.)

Applicants must submit completed applications via email to banff@advocisschool.ca in PDF format by the deadline.

The selection committee, consisting of the Advocis Banff School executive, will review all applications, vote, and announce the recipient by June 15, 2026

  • Supporting documentation of good standing (copy of license or designation status)

  • One letter of recommendation from a past Advocis Banff School Alumni, client, or manager.

  • Answers to the following questions:

    1. How did you hear about the Advocis Banff School?

    2. When did you get licensed/designated?

    3. Why did you choose to enter the financial services industry?

    4. What do you hope to accomplish in your career in financial services?

    5. Do you have any community involvement? If so, please describe.

    6. What financial services do you intend to specialize in?

    7. Who is your role model and why?

    8. When you achieve your desired level of success, how do you plan to contribute back to the industry?
