Banff is a resort town in the province of Alberta, within Banff National Park. The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline. On Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with château-style hotels and souvenir shops. What a year to follow. Our 70th Anniversary School was our biggest yet: sold out, energized, and unforgettable, and I couldn't be prouder of what the Executive, Committee, and the many volunteers behind the scenes built together. None of what makes this School special happens without them, and on behalf of every delegate who walked away inspired, thank you.
Now we get to do it again, and this time, we build on it.
Registration is open now, and I'd encourage you not to wait. Last year taught us that seats and hotel rooms go quickly, and we don't want anyone missing out on securing their spot while we finalize the details still to come.
If you're joining us for the first time, you are about to discover what returning delegates already know: the Advocis Banff School isn't just a conference, it's a community. You'll sit alongside advisors who've spent decades refining their practice, and you'll find them just as eager to learn from you as you are from them. That's the real magic of this School. Seasoned practitioners come back year after year not only to share what they know, but to sharpen their own skills, challenge their assumptions, and pick up new ideas alongside the newest members of our profession. Everyone in that room, new or seasoned, leaves better than they arrived.
And of course, there's Banff itself. Set against the Rocky Mountains, just steps from the Banff Centre, with hot springs to unwind in and restaurants, pubs, and shops to explore, it's the kind of backdrop that turns a great conference into a genuinely great week.
